Scientology vs Anonymous

HomeReligion, Atheism, and Odd TheologyScientology vs Anonymous

For those who haven’t been paying attention, the “church” of Scientology fits almost any definition of the word cult. More than a few people have left Scientology over their under-handed and domineering tactics, and support networks appear to be springing up all over.

Someone calling themselves Anonymous posted a video online that let the Scientologists know that they were the target of future attacks on their organization.

Scientology, of course, isn’t taking this lying down. Lying, maybe…but not lying down.

They’ve released this video in response. I have no doubt that some of what the video lists as attacks on their organization are 100% true…but I also have no doubt that they’re making a lot of it up. Scientology has a history of smear tactics known as Fair Game, apparently outlined in part here:

[an enemy of Scientology]…may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.

I can’t condone that, either. Watch the Scientology response video, and let me know what you think. Have you had any experiences with Scientology, or Scientologists?
