The Ten Commandments are a list of commands given by God, through Moses, to the descendants of Jacob (Israel). They are the basis for all of Judaism’s 613 laws.

A lot of people, including many Christians, are confused about whether Christians should live by the 10 Commandments. There should be no confusion.

In response to a picture of Jesus I once posted, a GodWords reader said: "Brother, you said to contact you if we had any concerns. I really don't like the image at all based on the Second Commandment. I think the heart of the image is right, but I think it is important we worship God as He has told us to."

A common argument among atheists and the irreligious is that the Ten Commandments doesn't belong in our courthouses. Some say that having the Ten Commandments posted there gives an implicit recommendation of one religion over all others.
