Job is a book found in both the Jewish and Christian Scriptures. Many consider it the oldest book, and one of the most important. Its main concept is that any suffering we may encounter is not necessarily the result of our own wrongdoing, and that God is beyond our reproach in these matters.
The Bible tells of a man named Job, who suffered the loss of his family, his possessions, and his health. When he questioned God about why this had happened, God responded...but, in His response, God did not answer Job's question.
