
The Bible isn’t a single book. It’s a collection of 66 books, written by around 40 writers* over a period of nearly 1500 years. While we don’t have personal information about every writer, we do know some things about most of them.

* While there were many writers of Scripture, God is the author of every book of the Bible. We learn this in 2 Timothy 3:16.
