Porn: Human Trafficking at Your Finger Tips

Would you protest a politician and then donate to their campaign? Of course you wouldn’t. When so many who are involved in porn are doing so against their will, why would you protest human trafficking and continue to watch porn?

Get involved. Take a stand. Make a change.

From Porn to Praise

Wayne C. Lewis was a producer of pornography. He spent most of his time behind the camera, but not all of it.

Some Christians think that they’re able to tell which people are “close to being saved”. Usually those are the people who are already trying to live a life that the rest of society finds respectable…you know, being polite, working hard, loving your family, mowing your lawn, and not torturing animals.

It comes as a surprise to some that it’s often those who are farthest from a life considered respectable that are closest to turning to God…you know, like used car salesmen, politicians, pornographers. In this video, Wayne gives an account of what happened to him. He has been changed, and will never be the same.

The Hypocrisy of Porn

Try this thought on for size:

In most places in the world, paying for sex is illegal. However: paying someone to have sex on camera, making millions of copies of the video, and selling it all over the world isn’t.

What’s the difference? Does the presence of a camera somehow make an illegal act legal? The phrase “double standard” comes to mind.

What do you think?

Online Christian Dating…by Penthouse

Though most web users might not know it, most pornographers love Christians. Our naivete allows them to make a lot of money.

What do I mean? Here’s one example: let’s say that Bob’s startup internet ministry, www.churchlovers.site, isn’t working very well. He’s getting some traffic to his site, but he decides to do something else for God. What does he do with his domain name? He lets it expire, of course…he doesn’t need it anymore.

Penthouse owns BigChurch dating service

Bill is a pornographer looking to make a living. He looks for expired domains to buy and redirects that traffic to one of his pay-for-porn websites. Now, when all of Bob’s faithful readers expect to see another article from him about God’s goodness, they see instead a website advertising a video of Britney’s goodies.

In this way, unwitting Christians make it easy for guys like Bill to make a lot of extra money. The porn industry regularly snatches up expired religious domains…I’m told that many prefer religious domains, as many pornographers are strongly anti-religious. They think it’s very funny.

The newest of these kinds of trickery has been to create “Christian” websites that simply use believers for their money, purporting to espouse the kind of values that Christians prefer. If you go to BigChurch.com, you’ll see an online dating website. Nothing really questionable there…except that it’s based on a lie:

BigChurch.com…devotes itself completely to Christians and the Christian faith

Yeah, right. Clicking on the Management Team link takes you directly to the Penthouse website, so they’re not exactly hiding the truth very effectively…they’re just saying something they don’t believe. They’re devoted, I’m sure, to helping Christians find dates. I have serious reservations about them being devoted to any part of the Christian faith.

I’m not the boycotting type, but if I were looking for a date or a mate, I wouldn’t give Penthouse any of my money to get it done.

Hookers for Jesus

Annie Lobert is, in my opinion, a courageous woman. Not only is she publicizing the fact that she used to be a hooker, she’s taking the gospel to thousands of men and women.

Annie Lobert runs Hookers for Jesus

She runs Hookers for Jesus, a ministry that helps people leave the sex industry. If you’re not familiar with her story, you might want to read it now. It’s rare that we get a lights-on glimpse into that world.

This was incredible! I never knew this…that God loved me…because NO ONE ever told me these wonderful words before! Those very words struck a chord in me and stayed with me day and night.

Porn Star on Staff at Church

I’ve written before about Heather Veitch, a former stripper helping others get out of pornography. She’s still working at it, and lives are being changed by God’s power.

Sophia Lynn started as a model, but turned to acting in pornography to pay her bills. Heather had been talking with Sophia for over a year about getting out of the industry, and it’s finally happened!

One of the major contributors just happens to be a church. Celebrate Community Church in Souix Falls, SD has given Sophia a job and a place to stay…and a college scholarship.

Sophia told ABC News last year, “When you have bill collectors calling you every five minutes, you start to feel hopeless…I kept thinking, ‘Why am I doing this?’ But then I reminded [myself that] my car payment was due.”

I think it’s fantastic…Heather is doing great work, and the church is making a real difference in the life of someone who needs a hand.
